Over the years, leather-bound books naturally accumulate dirt and can become dry and brittle; gilding can become darkened or impossible to see. This German-made balsam safely and gently cleans leather and restores the moisture; gilding emerges bright and shiny again. With a pH value of 6 to 7, Maroquin stabilizes as it cleans. The proprietary blend of ingredients also prevents mold and mildew. Maroquin is easy to apply and rub off. Ideal for smooth and grained leather, antiquarian bindings, parchments and collector pieces; also for the cleaning and care of old leather furniture. Maroquin is a 'first' application, to be followed by Old Master Leather Conditioner as the 'second.'
