All are hand-picked by us, not third parties, in Ecuador, then sent to Australia and sent from the Gold Coast to you. Hence no GST to pay as when you do when you purchase from overseas.
We work directly with indigenous artisan weavers in Ecuador to produce the best quality blankets. We believe in fair trade and always pay what is asked, which is a fair price - and never bargain down.
Blankets, throws, ponchos, scarves etc are all made in family workshops on looms and machinery that are about 80 years old. Families specialize in a particular item, and hence Woolly Llama works with three different extended families to source our products, each deservedly proud of their product, and also their culture/heritage it represents.
